I discovered how to make panko, needing some in a pinch, so this is a great substitute!
Cut crusts off white bread, tear into manageable pieces for a food processor, and pulse until fine crumbs. Spread onto a pan and place in center of oven preheated to the lowest temperature. Watch carefully as not to burn or brown to much. Once dry, it is the best panko!

This is my go to teriyaki recipe, when I don’t have mirin I use just sake, it’s a different “beast, but it’s still just as tasty! Thanks Nami!
